If one believes in the stereotype of cultural behaviour then Finns are the country where silence is golden ever since. Reticent and withdrawn the Finn rather approaches a cold beer than a hot-blooded conversation. How come that all the dudes (and more and more dudettes) practice their communication via some form of music then? With the high amount of musical fruition one can only suppose that the Finnish counterpart to the American debate club must be to play in a band.
Therefore it is understandably difficult to not lose track on the landscape of all these hundreds of Finnish Rock, Metal, Death, Thrash, Metalcore, Hardcore, Punk, Grindcore (and the genres in between) combos, or even the thousands of unsigned acts that are always lying in ambush close to the surface, in waiting position to be the next best thing.
